| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Bottle thanks to bhensonb: Pours a transparent dark mahogany ruby with a thin ring of dark tan head. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel with a hint of smoke and roasted malt along with some raisins. Starts with good dark caramel malty and toffee sweetness and a touch of earthy hop bitterness before a warming slightly astringent finish. Has some decent light complexity but could use more balance. nimbleprop (847), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
