22 oz bottle
This was picked up for $3.99 at 101 Bottles in Kent. With the bar set low my expectations were met in an average amber ale. While drinkable and balanced it has nothing to set it apart from any other similar beer. The main difference here is cost - finding even a local bomber for such a low price is a tough challenge.

Aroma / Appearance - The chunky yellow head was a bit distracting but as it faded the caramel bronze body was pleasing to look at. Caramel glazed ginger cookies mixed with cherry and iced tea to create a tight feeling in the air above the glass. Fairly mild it did not open up much as it sat there for a few minutes.

Flavor / Palate - Sweet Southern tea made with pure corn syrup coats the senses. A medicinal cherry aftertaste reminds one that this is not mild in alcohol at all. The bitter aftertaste is like Vegemite on white toast. Overall this is a solid well rounded beer but with nothing to set it apart from the rest I think it makes a good benchmark for the 50th percentile.

22oz bottle. Rating #20. Darkish amber/orange pour with a small white head. Clean malty aroma. Nice little hoppy bite up front with a nice balanced malt backbone, pretty good overall, I could drink this as a regular drinker quite easily. (1060)

Bomber into pint glass. Nice amber/copy body with a minimal bubbly white head that fades to not much more than a ring. Smells doughy and cakey -- simple but solid. Flavor is the same with a bit of a bitter hop finish. Again, simple, but solid. Alcohol hidden very well. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall: nothing special, but wholly inoffensive and flawless. Easy session beer (whose abv might creep on you).

From a 22 oz bottle this bottle of amber ale poured a very clear red to amber color with a good sized white and fat head and very good lacing rings as it settled. Nose of caramel malts and floral hops. Good clean mouthfeel. The flavor is more sweet than bitter, but the finish moves toward biter making this very easy to drink. A very nice amber.

Sampled 9/18/2009. This amber ale pours a reddish amber color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malt, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied amber. The malts are caramel and semi-sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. This beer is mostly an amber ale with a couple of exceptions, it’s not as sweet and it’s was more hoppy. Nice clean beer with a nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Sparkling light amber with a big fluffy head and moderate lacing, appearance is the best aspect of this beer. Faint crystal malt aroma, paper and stale neutral hops. Sticky sweet, light bodied and awkward. Flavor tastes of sweet adjuncts and plain malt. Finished empty with a very mild bitterness. Nothing too redeeming here.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. The look is clear, copper colored, with an off white head. The smell is candy, hops, sweet, and caramel. The taste is hops, bitterness, fruits, malts, and caramel.
