MaltDawg (369), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 8, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy of Butters shared with Maniac. Caramelized malts with slight fruitiness, cereal grain, and floral hops. Mostly clear amber golden with small white head. Nice tea like hop flavor with light caramel, cereal, and no fruit in flavor. Light body and mouthfeel. Dry finish with touch of residual bitterness. Nice example of an amber. arventresca (171), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Aug 16, 2008 TAp. Amber with white head. Another at the PGA Event on Greensboro. Pretty good. A little like a Boston Lager. Better than the other Natty I sampled. Butters (422), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Aug 10, 2008 Another pleasant surprise from these guys. I had never even heard of them and here they are making some decent brews. Clear deep amber pour on draft with thin head of light tan color. Malty and biscuity. Good medium body was not overcarbonated. Very enjoyable amber. fordest (1778), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 30, 2008 12 oz bottle. Better than I had expected. Decent malty nose, that carried over to the flavor. Thirst quenching and actually not half bad. nearbeer (1329), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 26, 2008 12 oz., bb Aug 08. Clear dark copper with a ruby tinge and a small, creamy head that lasts and laces well. Aroma of earth-spiced molasses, tea leaf and caramel. Flavor is grain, molasses, tea leaf, biscuit, light apple, toasted nut and some slight resin on the finish. Light-medium body is smooth and lightly hop-tingly. This is a very good example of an English style premium bitter.
