Commercial Description:
Strong-style India Pale Ale, deep copper in color witha a big, malty, hoppy palate and dry hopped with Centennial & Antanum for a spicy, citrus aroma. What better name for a big, strong beer than one of the biggest, strongest weapons of the Revolutionary War - the cannonball.

decaturstevo’s Febmergency Tasting. Sample from a bottle thanks to decaturstevo. Slightly hazy orange-copper with a thin white head. Big grapefruit hop aroma. Taste is big caramel malt base and a big grapefruit citrus.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one at his Februmergency Tasting. Slightly hazy gold body with a minimal off-white head. Floral hop aroma with a good underlying malt base. Well balanced with a nice bitter finish.

Bottle at decaturstevo’s Februmergency Tasting for those of us that missed out on Sexual Chocolate ’09 thanks to decaturstevo. Hazy orange pour with wispy off-white head. Lovely soft floral pine hop aroma with some vanilla. Very pleasant floral hop flavor with some small amount of bitterness. Very good actually.

12 oz bottle: Pours a amber color with a nice head. Aroma of strong citrus notes and just the right amount of hops. Goes down very smoothly with almost no hoppy bite. A little thin for my taste. Very nice lacing though. The "Double IPA" tag is a little misleading, but an okay drink from Nattys.

12oz bottle thanks to jrob21. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin, off-white head. Nose is very powerful citrus. Taste was same as smell. Mouthfeel was medium-thin with a strong, mouth tingle from the hops and a very bitter finish. Out of balance in a hop-forward way, but that’s ok for this hop-head. Loved it.

Draft at the brewpub. Nice hoppy, fruit forward nose, though quite muted. I really wasn’t a big fan of this guy. It was plenty smooth, but the flavors weren’t all that well balanced. Not my favorite IIPA.
