Commercial Description:
Strong-style India Pale Ale, deep copper in color witha a big, malty, hoppy palate and dry hopped with Centennial & Antanum for a spicy, citrus aroma. What better name for a big, strong beer than one of the biggest, strongest weapons of the Revolutionary War - the cannonball.

This one is a beer that I have wanted to drink for a long time, finally I had that chance. Pours out a dark red color with an off white head on it. Aroma on this one is full of hops, grass, pine, and some sweet sugars. No alcohol present. Taste is smooth and actually not too hoppy but more easy drinking. This could be classified as a regular IPA, as it needs a bit more oomph to be a double. Still, it is good, and probably one of the best beers at the bar. It was really fresh tasting as well.

Growler from brewpub. Good aroma, when cold ot had alot going on, mellowed as it warmed. Citrus, pine. Grapefruit, orange, apricot, peach in a minor way, honey, toasted grain, tad cereal. A little hazed brownish orange color, good head that faded quickly, ok lacing. Bitter flavor, grapefruit takes over though the other flavors are present that I mentioned in aroma. Medium body, oily creamy mouthfeel, bitter, little harsh. The aroma had a lot going on, I liked how it gave me multiple scents. Turned into a familiar IIPA as far as taste and mouthfeel. I had left a glassful in the growler for a week and it held up well.

Mmmm on tap at the brewery. Poured cloudy orange with a respectable off-white head. The grapefruit aroma was wafting across the bar from this baby. Slightly sweet with big hop bitterness and flavor. That grapefruit bitter bit on the back end as well. Be ready for this one because the aromas and tastes are powerful but pretty one sided. Really good, smooth drink otherwise.

Brewer gave small sample, not on tap yet. Poured a neon reddish orange. Simcoe hops were defientley present. Smooth throughout, no overwhelming hop usage. Hints of sweet orange and lemon. Malt and Hop were balanced well. Finished light and a little bitter.

lots more pine in the aroma, rich dark caramel malt flavor with lots of citrus and pine, sweetness well balanced with a low bitterness that builds towards the finish, not as sticky sweet as before allowing the malt more room to assert itself

Draught at the brewpub. Pours cloudy copper orange with ivory head. The aroma is full of fruity hops- candied pineapple, grapefruit, apricot- and also some very sweet malty notes. The flavor is sweet brown sugar and very light toast, with some fruity and floral hops. The finish is only slightly dry, but very floral and herbal. Lots of hop flavor without being all that bitter. A bit of alcohol comes out as it warms. Dense mouthfeel. Pretty good.
