Nice copper colored brew with a head so big I thought it was infected. Not so thankfully. Citrus hop aroma with a smidge of resinous presence and a lightly orange like sweet malt. Resinous hops are dominant in the flavor thought some lemon like presence sneaks up in the end. Touches of grain. A nicely bitter brew with enough body that it becomes quite drinkable. Medium body with a dry mouth feel. Enjoyed it.

Pours a cloudy orange color with one hell of a thick white foamy head- be careful! The aroma is orange rind, caramel and lemons. The flavor is very nice; probably the most citrus I’ve ever tasted in a hop driven beer, lemons and orange, light malts. Wet. A nice mouthfeel. Enjoyable, a light bitter grapefruit finish. Tremendous floral floral, piney aroma as soon as I popped the cap. When poured, light hazy, bronze color was also inviting, as was the solid fluffy head. A subtle palate hid the stiff resin-like, DIPA bitterness hopheads so crave. A solid DIPA that I would recommend and buy again. biznizness (952), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

Had this one a while back, forgot to rate it, although I swear I remember writing it. Must not have hit submit. Not a particularly great DIPA. Ah well. Boutip (2390), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with super large foamy head with great retention and super good lacing. Aroma of slightly bitter hops with a medium caramel malt backbone. Taste is also dominated by some caramel malt with notes of medium bitter hops. Body is a bit thin but carbonation is super great with no appearance of alcohol. I thought hops were a bit shy for the style and malt backbone could have more dominant. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Bottle from the brewpub. Pours a dark copper with no real head. The aroma is grassy with lots of pine cones and melon with adequate sweetness for balance. This is full bodied and flavorful without being extreme. My palate detects clean pine bite, melon sweetness, caramel, and a dry grapefruit zing. This is very, very nice. Just needs more hops. beerbill (1973), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2009 12 oz. bottle that I received as a gift. Pours a hazy gold with a large off-white head that lasted until mid-glass and left large patches of thick lace. Pleasant aroma of caramel and pine; somewhat sweet smelling. The flavor is similar with caramel and pine and is a bit sweet. Surprisingly lacking in hops bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is a bit slick. I wonder how long this bottle was sitting before it found its way to me? This beer seems a bit tired. Ok as it is, although I wouldn’t mind trying it again with a fresher example. pantanap (1369), Chicago, Illinois, USA
