Not as thick as I would have expected. Coffee flavors predominate. Not bad, but not one of my favorites. BuckNaked (1211), Tempe, Arizona, USA

The aroma is roast, mild coffee, and chocolate. The taste is light roasted malt, raisins, chocolate, lightly charred malt, and is not very assertive with any flavors here. Medium-full body, mild carbonation, served using nitrogen (yes beersnobs this does detract from the aroma, but I like my dry stouts on nitrogen) GeneralGao (3079), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Nice nose; full of vanilla, anise, chocolate, and coffee. The flavor is watered down version of the aroma. Mouth-feel is very thin and disappointing for a stout. 00cobraR (1103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Aroma was nice and earthy and this brew had a wonderful thick creamy tan head. Flavor was less than exciting. "Bitter black water" describes it well. Thin and dry. Blahhhhh. grat (433), ST. Served on nitro, however not all that velvety in return. Some roasty fruitiness would be appreciated. Instead one finds, peat, water and roasted earth.
