The aroma is a slight grainy spiciness with a little bit of hay. The flavor is hay, leather, and flour. It’s very grainy, especially toward the finish. A little bit of sharp carbonation is in there, too. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 4, 2007 The worst of the 11 sampled today... and by far. Pours pure gold with slight suds and lace. The nose is almost like sewage water that’s been run through perm solution.... no joke, it took me about 15 minutes to pinpoint it. There’s a lot of corn in the flavor... very underwhelming macro quality going on. The body is thin, unsettling to the palate. Corn finish with slight bitters. Not good, unless you like corn and perm solution. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2006 From notes 8/11/04:
Pours a typical lagerish (I know it’s an ale) golden color with a modestly fluffy white head. Lacing was in loose patches resulting in a web design. Minimal carbonation. Aromas were mild to say the least. Some grainy notes and a slight slight citrus note. Flavors begin with some sweet maltiness and a healthy chunk of grain. The aftertaste yields a subtle lemony flair that tingles the palate and begs for more. Creamy mouthfeel with the lack of bubbles. Very drinkable. A 2nd had to be ordered to make sure I noted all the characteristics. Goes down easily and smoothly.
