A great ale to consume in mass. Gold in color with hoppy and yeasty aroma, hint of grains. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2006 From notes 8/11/04:
Pours a typical lagerish (I know it’s an ale) golden color with a modestly fluffy white head. Lacing was in loose patches resulting in a web design. Minimal carbonation. Aromas were mild to say the least. Some grainy notes and a slight slight citrus note. Flavors begin with some sweet maltiness and a healthy chunk of grain. The aftertaste yields a subtle lemony flair that tingles the palate and begs for more. Creamy mouthfeel with the lack of bubbles. Very drinkable. A 2nd had to be ordered to make sure I noted all the characteristics. Goes down easily and smoothly.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours golden color (imagine that) with white head. The aroma is a slight grainy spiciness with a little bit of hay. The flavor is hay, leather, and flour. It’s very grainy, especially toward the finish. A little bit of sharp carbonation is in there, too.
