SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Feb 8, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber color with an off white head. Fairly tasty and certainly my favorite of the lackluster beers that were served during my visit. Mild and roasted, the smooth palate made this drinkable on a warm september afternoon. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Dec 7, 2008 on tap-pours a retaining tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-some molasses, spice. Taste is medium malt-molasses, offset by spice hops, nutty, dry. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Nov 23, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown that shows reddish with light. Moderate tan head. Malts are strong with a toasted nut roast flavor. A good dunkel. A bit thin with a dry finish. 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Nov 18, 2007 Pours out a dark brown color with a large tan head. aroma is malty and nutty. flavor is very much the same with a dry finish to it. over all this wasnt a bad beer, its just a bit to thin. 19641948 (492), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Nov 9, 2007 Pours a rustic copper with plenty of mahogany. Fluffy head of tan. Laces spectacularly. Aromas of nut and caramel. Nutty flavor with some toasted malt flair. Fine aftertaste of nut and cocoa. A hint of smokiness. Finishes clean as all their beers do. Creamy feel. A fine brew.
