Aroma of sweet doughy German yeast and caramely malt with a touch of banana esters. Starts fairly full-bodied and malted wheaty sweet with a good balance of bready yeast and clove spice. A nicely done hefeweizen. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

Did I order a God Damn Pina Colada? No. So get that fruit shit out of my beer. Pours out a dark yellow to light orange color with a nice white head on it. Smell was fruity and full of orange peel, coriander, and perhaps a little bit of lemon. Taste was very smooth and easy to drink. I could drink quite a bit of these on a hot summer day. Too bad they do not bottle this one. Extremely underrated on this site. Just leave off that fucking orange. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Pours a murky deep gold color with a thin white head. Dull illumination from within. Loose lacing slides down the glass. Aromas easily of banana and clove. Modest spicing and a fair whiff of banana. Flavors quench the thirst with a smooth wheaty feel and ample clove tones. A touch of lemon zest. Moderate mouthfeel. Drinkable and thirst-quenching for a summer’s afternoon. I enjoyed it better than their previous Bavarian-Style Hefeweizen brewed a while back. This version had more oomph to it.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Cloudy straw-orange pour, minimal sudsy head and webbed lace. Citrus, wheat and clove notes to the bouquet. Great clove and banana notes in the flavor! These accompany, indicative of style, wheat and citrusy (orange-lemon) contingencies. The clove really adds to the finish and after. The mouthfeel is slick to the palate, and went down perfectly for a hot summer July 4th! decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Hazed yellow/brown pour with creamy white head and lace. Corriander and bannanas on the nose. Clove, bannana, and a slight semi sweet maltiness. Just a bit fizzy. Very solid refreshing beer. I really liked this beer. I can’t say enough about how clean and good it was. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2008 draught. Pours cloudy orange with a tall white head. The aroma is aggressive with not so subtle bananas and cloves. The flavor is again not delicate, but it certainly isn’t overly sweet or spiced. The banana character is quite juicy, some light citrus is present, and grainy, wheaty notes add a dimension to the finish. Quite drinkable. alexanderj (2283), Chino Hills, California, USA

Thought it was pretty good. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
