A dark brown pour with hints of red a creamy tight head and lace. Toasted malt aroma. Rich maltiness with a hint of semi sweet caramel. Creamy carbonation and body. Very nice all round brown ale. I really liked this beer

On tap at the brewpub. Medium brown in color with a thin white head. An over all nutty aroma with some mild choclate roastedness. Has a sweet candy chocolate flavor , but the body is a bit thin.

Aroma is of syrupy sweet roasted malts. The pour is deep dark mahogany, with a nice frothy tan head. Flavor is what I like in a brown ale, not as full as I like I had hoped for. The flavor is dominated by the roasted malts, and their chocolate accents. The finish is slower, and very enjoyable. I really like this offering from Natty’s.

Bottle on 09/04/2008. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy tan head that persists. Nutty and caramel aroma with some chocolate hints. Sweet nutty flavor, more faint chocolate in the background. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a smooth finish.

From tap @ Natty’s: Dark brown appearance with hints of amber and slight tan head. Aroma is nice mix of nut, malt, caramel, and coffee. Slight bitter taste with hints of above aroma flavors. Smooth and light body with a good finish. One of their best beers. Note: Old Town Brown on tap at restaurant far superior to bottles sold at local stores.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Butters and Maniac 09/04/2008. Nice nutty roast malt aroma with notes of coffee. Clear dark brown with ruby highlights. Small fine tan head. Rich slightly bitter roast malt flavor with moderate hop bitterness. Light body with light mouthfeel. 4.2% ABV is a bonus for this very smooth drinkable beer.
