on tap-pours an off white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-sweet. Taste is medium malt-sweet/caramel, dark fruit, yeast, secondary/faint hops. Smooth.

Poured a clear dark amber color with a creamy off-white head. Fruity sweet malt aroma. The flavor was mild to moderately sweet. notes of golden raisins and prunes. Estery finish with light hop bitterness. Semi-dry finish.

Cloudy Orange, drifting to brown, thin beige head. Nutty aroam, I guess I’d say walnuts, plus caramel. Smooth & creamy and a bit of yeasty note. Definately leans toward the sweet. Sampled @ 2007 Hickory Hops

Pours a bright and clear amber-orange color. Fluffy tan head settles into a tight cap. Laces occasionally. Aromas are sweet and candyish with a honeyed malt fragrance. Flavors give a cotton candy flair along with honey, caramel maltiness, and warm bread pudding. Little hop note. Miniscule yeast presence. Leaves a sweet (and I hate to keep using this term) candy feel on the palate after swallowing. Weaker mouthfeel than I’d prefer. To summarize: this dubbel gives me a peculiar color. A pleasing color, but not what I usually see in the style. No yeastiness, no dusting of powder in the back of the throat. Nothing I really experience in a usual dubbel. As a Belgian pale this is pretty good. As a dubbel, this lacks in most major characteristics. A tasty beer, not inappropriately named.
