chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Feb 16, 2008 Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. Very dark brown with a good lively condition. The aroma is quite roasty with hints of chocolate. More burnt malt and chocolate on the palate. Touch of bitterness to. One of those beers that hovers in style between a stout, a porter and a mild so I won’t dwell on the fact that the mouthfeel was quite light for a stout. Overall a very enjoyable and eminently drinkable beer.

Gravicask at St. Albans Beer Festival. Black wiith a brown hue at the edges and a slight white film. Nice coffee, fruit and chocolate aroma. Decent solid stout in the mouth. Rubbery, fruity and with a nice lick of hops for the finish. Quite bitter in the finish giving it a really nice balance.
