Mes_and_Sim (4487), Highgate, Greater London, England Jul 20, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at the Pembury. Golden brown with a thin white rim. Grassy and wheaty hop aroma with some slight notes of orange. A pretty good smell. Bland and wheaty flavour with the malt upfront. A little on the watery side but what do you expect for a sub 4% beer? (Hophead?...) A bit more flavour in the finishwith some grassy hops and straw. Totally inoffensive session stuff. Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Jun 29, 2007 Blackfriers. I found these cask really lively, lost about a gallon just venting it after 3 days racking! This sold out quicker than most beers i can ever remember and also reinforced me thinking this brewery is turning out some seriously quality ales. Aroma is biscuity malt hints of lager malt and grassy peppery hop. Taste is still right on you concidering the strength, excellent blend of pale malts which is balanced with bittering hops that made me drink an entire pint in 3 gulps on my break, the cask then finished so i couldnt even have one at the end of my shift!
