Jun 9, 2008 On tap at Crescent Moon...pours deep red color with a moderate off-white head that settles quickly. Aroma is of flowery hops and is somewhat grainy. Flavor is robust and is comprised of lots of floral and citrus hop flavors, but with a nice malt backbone to keep this highly drinkable. Body is relatively thick for an IPA, and this one bordered on drinking like an IIPA...this is probably the best offering I’ve had from the NE Brewing Co to date...good work!

May 7, 2008 On tap at the Leavenworth Bar. A beautiful beer. Deep reddish copper with a thick off-white head of fairly remarkable retention. Very nice floral and perfume hop aroma with a discernible blast of chocolate. The flavor is quite amazing. In spite of the huge hop bill, this is a dominant malty-sweet beer. The rye makes this smooth and balanced. It’s just too easy to drink this one fast. This was brewed by Tyson from a State Fair Best-of-Show recipe.
