kitschy (124), Nebraska, USA Jul 28, 2008 On draft at the brewpub. Beer pours like a slightly flat cola - similar color and head. Aroma deepens as the beer warms. Lovely smooth nut brown flavor, about the best nut brown flavor ever. Good any time of the year. Sledge Jr (2708), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 11, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on Opening Day. Pours dark amber with reddish tones. Has a thin off white head. Nutty caramel toffee aroma. Thin in body, but not too thin. Really flavorful hazelnut with slight chocolate and mild roastedness. Good residual cocoa flavors. valpoaj (283), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Dec 6, 2007 Rating is ~2-3 weeks old as I waited for the beer to get into the ratebeer system. In all honesty, there was nothing remarkable about this drink...typical brown ale appearance. Roasty flavor with some underlying sweetness. I felt this was somewhat watery on the palate, and that detracted somewhat nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Nov 28, 2007 Sweet roasted aroma. Amber to deep brown. Roasted hazelnut nut flavor.
