Commercial Description:
Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lover’s dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end... learn to love hops! (Editor’s Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company under the name "Humboldt IPA Nectar" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

12 oz bottle. Clear orange brown with a small off-white head. Some lacy strands. Nice nose of caramel and orange with a dash of sea salt. Light carb but body has some heft. Nectarine and caramel with quinine, lime peel bittering.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy bright copper color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is caramel, grapefruit, pineapple, floral hops. Flavor is again caramel, grapefruit, pinapple, pine, floral hops. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished bitter. There is a nice dose of sweetness up front, very fruity, a reallllly solid IPA, if not great.

Small offwhite head, retention is good, lace is sticky, stringy and surprisingly coating. Clear orange/copper hued ale. Nose is quietly spicey, lightly floral and tropical with light malt under tones. Body is lightly medium, a tad bit crisp. Lightly sweet caramel malts, lightly doughy, citrusy hop flavors are gentle and flowery. Light melony notes evolve as it warms up. Finish is lightly sweet and fruity. Hop bite is gentle at best. A solid warm weather IPA for sure. This is my 100th IPA rating and convienyently this brew was received in trade from SDbruboy, my number one trading buddy. Thanks Cliff, you are the man!! Yup, finally made it to 100 IPAs bro, bout time huh? Thanks again!

Bottled. Poured tawny with an off-white, foamy head. The nose was toffee, hops resin, and caramel. The flavor was carmel, malt, and citrus, with a hoppy finish. Syrupy mouthfeel.

Had this at Zodo’s bowling in Goleta,ca.Bartender told me Firestone made this IPA for Zodo’s.Had a great floral fragrance, which was so inviting.Average head.Dark amber to light brown in color. The palate was somewhat sticky and bold. The taste was a good bitter hops and a deeper body of barley,I believe. The dry bitter hoppy finish begged me to have more. This is one of the best IPA’s I have had,and to think it is only at a bowling alley.I had a Stone Runination IPA after I had this and I liked the Firestone better!Actually,The Stone had more subtle flavors, and wasn’t so in-your-face.So,I guess the Stone is better, but the Firestone really grabs your attention and keeps it.

This had a large foamy head.Color was a nice orange amber.aroma was of beconing hops.It tasted like honey and hops, thus the ’Nectar’.This is a light IPA.Tasty, but a bit light in body.Very easy to drink, but the flavor is 2 dimensional..just honey and hops.Somewhat bitter finish.Yes,I taste the grapefruit, trokini.Pretty good. Will buy again.

Pours copper/amber with a thin head. Big juicy hoppy aroma. Nice blend of hops gives it a hoppy complexity, it’s got the citrus and the spice. Flavor has a nice bitterness to it. Nice medium body but still refreshing. Solid brew.
