Lacing is plentiful. There’s not much to dislike about this IPA. Caramelly, fruity front end with a balanced, hoppy finish. Very good for the style. mgmike4 (29), valencia, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 29, 2006 This brewery never ceases to impress me....strong floral and grapefruit aromas, and a light scent of pine. the flavor is well balanced with strong notes of sweetness...carmel-like and orange peel. a light toasty flavor too. the palate is the best part...a good amount of carbonation and bitterness is perfect. will def drink again

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Well done West Coast IPA...restrained, not the hop bomb that many brewerys are producing. The bitterness is a bit rough but it has a great floral citrus aroma. TomDecapolis (3209), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with an average bubbly off white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit and caramel malt to balance. Flavor of malts, sweetness up front followed by a citrus hop splash. bubbleflubber (898), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Pours caramel-amber into the glass. It has a very nice thick, frothy lasting head and great retention and sudsy lace. The nose is spot on for caramel. The flavors are of sweet malt, caramel, toffee, very light citrus, and a medium-mild hop back palate. The finish is slightly peppering, very dry pine hops. A sweetly syrup mouthfeel on this, sticky but not necessarily refreshing for heat (outdoor temperatures NOR food-flavor pairings), as is the case with most IPA’s. Overall, a decently unique take on the IPA. Not completely indicative of style, but a very good malt-sensitive offering. For those who enjoy sweet(er) complexities, this will be quite comforting and enjoyable. ratman197 (3256), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2006 tap. Pours more copper than golden with a small head. Aromas of fruit and hops. Flavors of malt and hops, not too bitter. A hint of fruit. Nice mouthfeel and bosy, not a hop bomb but rather well-balanced. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA

Wonderfull aromas of hops with a good malt balance. Great bitterness upfront with an awsome hop flavor and good malt balance. Overall one of the best IPA’s you can get.
