Commercial Description:
Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lover’s dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end... learn to love hops! (Editor’s Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company under the name "Humboldt IPA Nectar" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

Nicely sweet IPA from the bottle. Light honey hop nose. Flavor starts out sweet malt and then mellows into the bitterness, which balances well.

Pours honey gold with minimal head. Caramel, citrus, floral aromas. Taste is primarily floral with a definite freshness that fades into a bitter end.

12oz bottle, purchased from Bottle Barn. Pours a bright, slightly hazy orange-amber color; off-white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Juicy oranges and citrus in the aroma; lots of maltiness, oranges, and light earthy hop character; this seems potentially old? Certainly lost some of its hop character; turning into a sticky, silly beer. Medium mouthfeel: again, lots of oranges, faded earthy and citrus hop character, and plenty of crystal malts and basic orange-y sweetness; not really digging this at all right now; medium acidity, light carbonation, and just crystal malts and sticky orange notes; meh. Like orange candy. Medium finish: those crystal malts just don’t leave; oranges, sweetness, light earthy bitterness.

12oz bottle that I picked up this last weekend at Belmont Station. Pours a nice orange golden with a decent off white head that leaves sticky lacing. Great nose! Very full, yet not over powering and quite balanced. Juicy resin notes full of fruit, crystal malts present, and some hints of caramel. Good mouth feel with medium body and carbonation that doesn’t overpower. Great balance of malt, piney peach hops, with perfect amount of bittering on the end. I should have bought a 6 pack of this, I could drink another right now.

Pours a deep golden color with a nice sticky white head. Aroma is hops, caramel, malt, spices, biscuit. Flavor is citrusy, hops, caramel, earth, malt, spices. Nice bitter and spices in the finish. Decent IPA.

Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a whiskey snifter. The beer pours a medium to deep amber color with a slight white head that quickly disappears. The nose gives a strong indication that my sample has been extensively, and likely overly, aged. Notes of medium and high crystal malts to the nose, with a precipitous lack of hop character. The palate is more in the realm of English ESB, with an almost tea-like malty character at first, before giving away to some faint caramel notes. At most, the hops serve to balance the malt. Overall, not unenjoyable to drink, but it seems as though the beer may have been far different when it left the brewery.

Bottle, pours clear dark gold with a lacy white head. Medium body, light carbonation. Caramel citrus aroma and taste, along with just a skosh of bandaid.

Deep orange with white head. Aroma is strongly of pine with a little lemon. Flavor is again of pine and some citrus. flavor lacks malt and resulting mouthfeel is a little thin and watery.
