| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Bottle: Vibrant amber, large light beige foamy head, fairly nice lacing, light carbonation.   Sweet hop & tea leaf nose.   Reminds me of their Pale but with less tea leaf.   Sweet hop tea flavor, slight tobacco.   A slight touch of wet cardboard and mash, unfortunately.   Fairly nice body and mouthfeel.   Lingering sweet tea.   Wished it had less mash flavor, more hop bite, and less tea/tobacco.   Fairly good otherwise.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2006 Pours amber with a mid-sized white head. Incredibly citrusy and floral nose, almost like a Lemonhead wrapped in honeysuckle. Other hop aromas are there, too--pine and grass--but none are as present as the citrus. There’s a hint of toast. Swirling brings out some caramel. Toast and caramel flavor gives way to a nicely bitter, resinous finish. Some of the honey sweetness of the aroma is present. About as close to perfect balance as a brewer can get. This one’s excellent. FoolishMortal (966), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 6, 2006 12oz. bottle. Pours yellow orange with a small white head. Citrus metallic character of Cascade family hops in the aroma, slight underpinings of appley malt. Citric floral hop nose, concedes to slightly fruity malt. Lasting resinous bitterness manifests in the finish, with a tinge of malt toastiness. Mouthfeel is light medium, fairly dry. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 3, 2006 Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Dark amber color with a decent head. Aromas were floral and piney. Much hops with some sweetness in the back. Mouthfeel was rather viscous. Very full. More hops on the flavor. Front and back. Pretty good. Dinobrown (46), Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2006 The Nectar is one of my absolute favorite IPAs so floral and completely balanced. I drink one of these at least once a week and I have always been happy from the first to the last sip. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
