The aroma is sweet and very hoppy, from a good hop sort (or combination), but also with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of grass and flowers, leading to a good bitter hoppy end, but the body is a little thin. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2005 Ruby orange color, thin head, some lacing. Nose of musky, woody, dusty and overall earthy hops. The malts are present and is sort of "chapstickish" with vanilla notes. The flavor is good, a bit of bitterness and a nice level of body and sweetness to counterbalance. I like it when those two balance but don’t blend, I want to taste them both. The finish is resinous and sappy, juicy and citric. Good IPA, interesting to find out the hop varieties. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Nutty, caramel malt aroma supported by slightly grassy, pine and citrus hops. Very clean and quenching flavor, with sweet malt holding up to great hop character. Very nice. Reddish amber with just a whispy head. Light fruity aroma, but with a nice full fruit salad-hop flavor. Quite drinkable. Re-rate from the bottle 1/21/07: More orange than red. Solid but thick head. Otherwise, same as above. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Great dark golden appearance with orange/tan head. Good citrus and hoppy nose. Grapefruity Willamette and Pine and Orange Cascade hops both clearly present with a long hoppy finish. Malt and hops in balance. A bit dry in the mouth, more so than in most American IPAs. Easy to drink. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia

Pours a gorgeous ruby-orange, dark for an IPA. Head is buttery, yellow-white, thick. Aroma is heavenly, sweet, nectar-like pine, pineapple, peach and melons. Taste is likewise at first with sweet fruit malt caressing the taste buds before the sizzle of the hops begin. The hops are not over done and match very nicely. They’re the slight spicy, vegetable variety. Enough to dry the tongue, but not destroy it... just a little toasted in the finish. Great beer! Pours amber with a floral/pine aroma. Taste starts with light hoppiness mixed with malt heft, smoothing out into Cascades tang. Full yet crisp mouthfeel is possibly the most satisfying part of the beer. Perfect with spicy fish or chicken.
