Commercial Description:
Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lover’s dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end... learn to love hops! (Editor’s Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company under the name "Humboldt IPA Nectar" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

Had a floral aroma. Amber body with off white head, some lacing. Had a flavor of fruit ( grapefruit ). Cool and crisp on the palate a refreshing beer.

12 oz bottle. Amber pour with a medium sized head. Floral hops dominate the aroma along with sweet grains. A very well balanced IPA but I’m not crazy about the type of hops used.

Bottle. Pours a nice clear coppery-amber color with a large off-white head that diminished mostly. Aroma improves as it warms, with sweet caramelly malts and lots of lovely hops giving a citrus and pine character. Starts sweet ends bitter just like I want in an IPA, rich malts and a bit of spice fill the middle but I’m disappointed a tad by a somewhat metallic flavor in the finish. Medium body and gentle carbonation. This is a good, servicable IPA overall.

This poured an orange-copper body with a brief-lived, modest head. The aroma is hps - floral with light pine and orange. Light to medium bodied, it’s got a sweet malt taste atop which is some rather modest (for an IPA) hopping of the above listed types. The finish is mildly bitter and fairly short-lived. This is kind of an IPA Lite.

(Bottle)Pours a tasty looking dark brownish/redish amber with medium off white head. very nice fresh aroma with some floral in it. Has a nice but not overpowering sweetness to it and it still maintains the bitterness of an ipa. I love the cascade hop finish on this beer. It also has a semi toasty flavor to it which is nice. After taste its really nice. It’s balanced pretty well i must say but it could still be tweaked alittle i think. Its not an alesmith by any means but it undoubtably a good tasty ipa.

Bottled. 12 Oz. Pours a clear, rich looking orange, almost red. Big hoppy aroma. Notes of pine and citrus. The flavor is dominated by a strange mouth coating dryness, like breathing in the dust while sanding drywall. I get a bit of bitterness then the dryness coats my entire palate and I lose all the taste(!?) OK, I just read some of the other ratings and they look pretty good, I also LOVED how this beer smelled. I’ll have to rerate in the future. Opened a second botle out of the six and found I did indeed have a bad bottle. The taste was actually a bit malty with a good hop bitterness. I could deal without the cascade but I find this to be a solid IPA and seeing it’s one of the few craft brews available at the Safeway down the street, I’m glad it turned out to be a good beer.

Bottled as IPA Nectar. Beautiful glowing clear fiery amber with a thick off-white head. Aroma of piney, citrusy cascade hops. Flavor has notes of grapefruit, pine, citrus, pineapple, cascades and caramel. Pleasantly sweet, bitter aftertaste, but not harsh. Very well-balanced. Medium body with a soft texture and subtle carbonation. Some lacing left on the lower half of the glass, great head retention. Very nice IPA.

A floral and moderate hop aroma of citrus. Orangish brown hue with a little swirl of some of the brewers yeast through out the body. Head was firm at first but retreats to a flat line of white foam and tiny bubbles. Somewhat metallic and sensing a syrup like taste. Flavor is of hops, grapefruit, sugar, honey and touch of malt. I liked this more than the other nectars i tried.
