Light tannish ring of foam. Light grassy/piney nose. Watery body that’s climbing up to a medium level. Little bit of carb showing. Caramel and pine on the mid-palate, with a longish resiny finish. Really too restrained in almost every way. DeadGirl (242), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA

Fruity taste with notes of orange, apricots, caramel, black-currant and fresh hops in a well balanced finish with a generous hop characater. More emphasis on aroma than bitterness. Medium body, balanced sweetness. Nice beer, tasty and very drinkable. omhper (12227), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm (6.7%). Copper colour, small head. Perfumy and grapefruity with caramel underneath. Rounded solid body with some syrup and soap. Hop driven, but more aromatic than bitter. Earlier Rating: 3/3/2005 Total Score: 3.5 Bottled, labelled IPA Nectar. Clear dark amber, no head. Aroma of lychee and pine needles. Dry and medium bodied with clean, hard mouthfeel. Some cookie malt flavour - but most of the flavour is in th ehoppy aroma. The finish is grapefruity, resiny and really bitter. Appearance: Poors clear copper/orange/amber with a foamy 1/4 offwhite head. Leaves tons of webby lacing on the glass as I drink it down.
Aroma: Grapefruit, orange oil and zest, pine, flowers, and perfume.
Taste: Bitter and citrusy hops and dry Euro-like malt. Finishes with a fruity popuri bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Thin, refreshing and a little juicy.
Overall: I never got to try this beer when it was made by Humboldt Brewing. With that in mind, there are many trademarks/similarities in this beer, and the rest of the "Pale" series of Firestone Walker label beers. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
