Commercial Description:
Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lover’s dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end... learn to love hops! (Editor’s Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company under the name "Humboldt IPA Nectar" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Lots of hop character with hints of citrus, pine, and some floral grassy hop character. Some caramel malts too. 3.6 Revisited this tonight hops are a bit more soapy maybe its just not as fresh. 3.2 ave. 3.4

Pretty good. A little weak for an IPA. But tastes great. An easy beer for the easy craft beer drinker. Not as bitter as I like my IPAs to be.

Very good citrusy / grapefruit aromas. Excellent hop flavors without being overwhelming. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied. Overall very good.

Bottle courtesy of WeeheavySD. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of wildflowers, earthy, tea. Tastes of caramel, spice, citrus. Finishes sweet with some touches of honey.

12oz from Bevmo. Pours orange with a puffy tan head. Nose is somewhat hoppy. Taste is sweet, and resinny and all in all decent. Not bad.

12oz at a friend’s party. I found this to be a pretty decent IPA, nice overall fresh taste, very drinkable and not too bitter. Not amazing but tasty.

[Bottle] Pours amber with a small white head that leaves good lacing and lingers as a small ring. Huge citrusy aroma bursting out of the glass that is loaded with tangering and mandarin orange. Upon swirling, there is a decent maltiness too, but that initial tangerine and mandarin orange is what does it for me. In the taste there is orange zest, solid malt backbone, good amount of bitterness (although it is far from the most bitter IPA I have had), and then the tangerine and mandarin orange again. I don’t know if I was just in the mood for this type of IPA, but it really worked for me, and I certainly plan on revisiting it to see if the next bottle will be as good as this one was.

3/1/09 From the bottle. Aroma is strong and well balanced, with earthy hops working against very sweet caramel malt. Appearance is clear deep gold with a medium maintained white head. Flavor is hop forward, earthy with the same sweet malt in lower intensity. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, slightly creamy with a medium carb texture. Overall, not harsh, but a bit much to make it easy drinking, even for the style.
