Taste is of oranges and caramel. One of the best APAs I’ve had to date. FROTHINGSLOSH (2036), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bright bronze color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma is strong with fruity and flowery hops. The flavor is sweet and lightly tangy with strong grapefruit and light floral hops. A bitter hop finish lingers. A nice pale ale but not as good as the Red Nectar. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 15, 2005 12oz bottle. Light orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel malts and floral and citrusy hops. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are fruity and sweet Hops are citrusy (grapefruit and orange peel). A medium bitter American Pale Ale. Nice balance between the bitterness and sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA

Poured a clear amber with a small head just south of white. Pleasant citrus hop aroma of tart orange which faded into light pine. Moderate bitterness in flavor with mild citrus at the end. Rather thin-bodied with light astringency to finish.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2005 My bottle of this very drinkable APA reads "Pale Nectar." Deep gold with a lacingly bubbly head, it has a delicate aroma of caramel malts balanced with floral and orange hops. Balance is the key to the tase as well, neither element outweighing another. It finishes on a mildly bitter, citric note. A very well crafted ale.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2005 some sweet malt notes, but mostly a hop precence. poured a golden color, no head. It was light and refreshing. but not light where it seemed watery, it was just well balanced. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2005 This is the kind of beer that is approaching being too hoppy for me, but it has enough complexity to salvage it. There are some subtle citrus flavors as you’d expect and a very solid mouthfeel.
This is also a really wet beer, like the red nectar, so it is very drinkable and satisfying. Not as unusual and varied, flavor wise, as the Red Nectar, but solid.
