Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2002 An amber beer with no head at all. It has an aroma of sweet oranges and some spices I can’t tell, it makes me think a little of a sodapop. It has a very tame mouthfeel - with some bubbles forming on the tongue. It tastes sweet and pretty citric - and the citric taste lingers and turns slightly bitter. Not a beer for me - at least not on a chilly danish fall night. Maybe it’s better for a hot day in Mexico? omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 9, 2004 Bottled. Brown colour from the artificial colouring, near no head. Watery and vaguely roasty. Almost no flavour to talk about. Papsoe (10459), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 13, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, dark amber with a dense, off-white head. Lightly tart, roasted malt nose. Medium body with lightly sweet, roasted malt and a vague underlying tartness. No real bitterness. 120907 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 27, 2000 Updated: Jul 14, 2006Light brown colour. Hints of caramel and graininess in the sparse aroma. Adjuncty taste with light caramel and a suprisingly astringent note...sort of a dirty yeast/ashtray type of thing. Yikes. Horrible stuff. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 19, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours deep orange/amber and clear, has a huge dense light orange to tan head. Light caramel malt aroma. Light sweet and bitter flavour. Light caramel malt with a growing bitterness towards the finish. Light and refreshing yet with some flavour.
