JorisPPattyn (4224), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 30, 2008 Deep orangey-gold with very good, stable white head, rather fluffy at start. Flowery nose, with the telltale ’intracable’ white candi sugar, garden herbs and oranges. Van Steenberge to the core. More bitter taste, again garden herbs and weeds, quite refreshing despite the serious alcoholload. The high attenuation again points to the white candi sugar. Relatively little sweetness. Some human sweat, retronasal. Sharp, slightly burning MF, alcoholwarming; medium body. I might not be the greatest fan of V.S., the clean taste of this, ought to be assessed by all US "Belgian" cloners. As to the beer... ik veronderstel dat het weer een gegarandeerd origineel bier is, Gerten?
