Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned for maximum flavor and shelf life, Augustinian Ale is one of Britain's undiscovered treasures. Hoppy, bitter and spiced with coriander seeds, this pale ale is, to say the least, very distinctive.

Label got my attention because I’m a fan of the work of Augustine and many of his heirs, particulary Luther (originally an Augustinian) and Calvin. - The aroma is malty but non descript. It pours reddish amber with medium foam which sticks around. Flavor is pleasant pine with some spice and grain. Body is a bit watery. This seems to be a little underrated overall.

Had this one at the Bayou, SLC Pours a cloudy dark yellow color, nice carbonation, nice two-finger plus creamy white head, which leaves some nice thick creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some nice yeast notes, slight banaa/corriander. The taste is malty/yeasty, slightly sweet, nice little citrus twist, with some bananna/corriander. Medium body, the finish is slightly dry. Drinkable, this is a tasty brew, more of a thirst quencher.

Bottle from Sun Devil in Mesa, AZ. Golden amber color with a monstrous beige/tan head. Strange fruity/spicey aromas. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is dominated by a flavor or spice. Bottle says coriander. Must have used a lot. Good though. Finish is lightly peppery. Bitter by across the pond standards. I’ll drink it when I can get it.

Spicey nose (ginger?) hazy apricot, small custard head. Pronounced ginger taste, with a mix of other spices too. Tongue is dancing from this refreshing brew. Great stuff. Thank You Torontoblue.

Sampled a bottle from the CAMRA beer club. An amber-copper ale with a malty, fruity nose. Some hops and fruits with a slightly smokey and citrus aftertaste but these were very bland. Not horrible, just not enough to keep my taste buds interested.
