Fin (2453), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Oct 13, 2008 Cask at the Live and Let Live, Cambridge, 11-10-08 Wonderful looking beer with a slim white head on a classic amber body, clarity is spot on. Good stringy fruitiness, good tang, sweet maltiness, finishes with a bit of apple (or is that me just hankering after the Cassels cider also on the table?) larsga (2448), Oslo, Norway Dec 19, 2007 Small coarse offwhite head. Amber body. Faint malty aroma with hoppy notes. Dryish musty earth and peas taste. Very weak. Dry wooden aftertaste. Served way too cold, which may have helped to make it so boring and unattractive. (0.5pt cask at the Fox & Anchor.) KnutAlbert (2466), Oslo, Norway Dec 14, 2007 Cask.
Fine ale with full taste - lots of maltiness and a fair amount of hops. Some yeast in the finsih, a little sourness, too, which is similar to the profile of their other beers. cgarvieuk (2614), Edinburgh, Scotland Dec 8, 2007 Cask at Cloisters bar Edinburgh ...Copper colour ... malty nose ... fruity hop little musty ... little caramel. MesandSim (4623), Highgate, Greater London, England Nov 7, 2007 A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock.
Darkish amber brown with a white rim on top and a little lace. Nutty and malty with some slight coffee and tobacco. A bit of bite from the hops gives a nice balance. Not bad.
