Ungstrup (11164), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 18, 2004 A dark red-brown beer with a fine dense light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is roasted with hints of yeast and a dry finish - a nice beer. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 10, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark - but far from black - closer to mahogany. Dry and rather full body with a distinct and lasting bitterness. Decent all right. 191101 yespr (6400), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 15, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Overripe fruit and malt aroma. Medium sweet fruity flavour with a good malt base. Sweet malt and light fruity note into the finish. Well brewed yet not interesting imho. joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 1, 2005 Bottled.

Sweet fruity flavour with roasted notes and notes of dish washer.
Porter ? argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Nov 10, 2002 Color is light for a porter -- dark reddish-brown body with dull-tan head. Sweetish chocolate malt aroma. Flavor is moderately sweet and malty, with chocolate, vinous and slight plum elements. Once it warms, the aftertaste has a mild roastiness. Slightly watery. It might be according to a traditional recipe, but that doesn’t mean it’s as good as the porters of today.
