Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle.

Brewed traditionally with Challenger and Fuggles wholeleaf hops, Maris Otter and Crystal malts and a trace of coriander. It is the first bottled ale of its type and is truly a class apart. It is very smooth and refreshing on the palate. Accompanies all tasty food, particularly curries, Chinese and Thai dishes.

courtesy of Allen - clear golden-bronze colour with a persistent white foam composed of big bubbles; the strong aroma of coriander ruins the fruity hops hidden behind; sweet but quite fresh palate, a hint of acidity in top of a moderate malt body; sweet and gently bitter aftertaste with light fruity and pronounced coriander notes - why not ?

Citrusy and malty aroma. Amber with little head. Flavour is malty with citrus notes, slightly bitter. Thin body. Finishes bitter with floral aftertaste. Not so overly citrusy as some beers of this type.

Bottled 50cl. Both nose and taste are reminiscent of earth, nutmeg, sand, coconut, fresh lavender, pré de provence lavender soap, aniseed and wood. Interesting with plenty of character. I would love to have this beer with curry :-)

50cl bottle, with a different label than the one pictured. Clear amber color, very modest white head. Citrus and hop aroma, pretty straightforward. Hoppy taste with noticeable floral (but not perfume-ish) koriander subtext, which I think blends nicely with the hops. Not much else on the palate, but this is a refreshing, thirst-quenching ale.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a mid-sized tanned foamy head. Sweet, slightly cara-malty aroma with notes of lemon, tangerine, flowery hops as well as a touch of coriander. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a medium carbonation. (Cara-)malty and moderately citrus-fruity taste with bearable notes of coriander; quite dry and bitter spicy finish. The coriander is dispensable in my -umbel- opinion (18.VIII.09).

Aroma with hops mixed with grass and flowers. Light golden amber colour with small white head. spicy and fruity flavour with surprisingly low bitterness. Higher carbonation than would be expected form a British ale. Well done.

Light amber and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Lots of spice in the aroma, ginger, corinader, hops. Flavor is moderate bitter. Dry, watery texture.
