<b>No 394</b><br /> <b>Rated: 05.05.2008</b><br /> <b>Bottle brown, 500 ml</b><br /> <b>Appearance: </b>Pours a bit hazy with some micro sediment floatingin the body surface, body colour is bright golden, carbonarion visually is gentle, head is initially small, frothy, slowly decreases to minimal, slightly off - white, rather no lacing.<br /> <b>Aroma: </b>Graphite, some gentle accidity, mineral nose, chalkyness, maltyness is hidden somewhere at the background and mainly dominated by herbal hoppyness, a bit hars but not as aromatic as in ’Hacker - Pschorr Pilsener’. A bit milky with some interesting nutty - woody hints, earthy, soily hops.<br /> <b>Flavour: </b>Earthy hoppy nose, soil comes at front, than comes nicely pronounced bitterness on palate with still existant aromatic nose and decent grainy aftertaste, very well balanced between all the ingredients. A traditional, pure Classic German Pilsener being brewer according to the unchanged, old, traditional receipe. Some notes of cardboard and paper, dustyness and soilyness, saltyness dur to hops and carbon dioxide, barley grains. Sharp bitterness strenghting itself coming towards finish. Finish duration is very long, citruses, lemon, grapefruit.<br /> <b>Palate: </b>Body is light, texture is very dry with sharp hoppy bitterness, finish feel is chalky, grainy, dusty, dry.<br />

Crisp and hoppy pils, grassy and clean. Pours light gold with a fizzy white head. Pretty decent pils, some apple/pear flavor towards the end and a light skunkiness that I didn’t care for, but very crisp and refreshing.

Bottle in Berlin. Fruity pilsener with moderate hops in the finish. Nothing outstanding, nothing bad about it.

Bottle. Golden /yellow witha white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, apple. Flavour is fruit, malt, apple, hint of hop. OK easy drinkable pilsner.
