Jun 20, 2009 Draught of ’300’ at C’est What Spring Festival. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with moderate white head. Mild nose of sweet malt and fruit. Taste starts sweet and malty giving way to a light, slghtly bitter fruity finish. Ok.

May 24, 2009 On tap at C’est What ("300" version) - pale golden with a good head that lasted and laced. Aroma clean and sweet, with a touch of spicy hopping. Flavour extremely clean, slightly creamy, but smooth. Nothing outstanding, but a very well-made and well-rounded craft lager.

Neutral aroma. C’est What Spring Festival cask. Peachy with lots of carbonation bubbles, and lace. Creamy head on yellow. Middle mouthfeel, a bit creamy actually,Neustadt characteristic overall. Boring for the style, lagerish really, but it is drinkable.

Appearance: Clear golden brew mid creamy top , some lacing noted.
Nose: slightly dusty , light hop with mid golden malts.
Flavor/Palate : Soft bodied, lightly hopped with golden malts. Light bittering with fruity accents. Good session brew.

May 3, 2009 Cask @ Victory Cafe Winter Fest.
Aroma of strong spice, reminds me of juniper,hazy golden, not much head. Tastes similar to caraway rye bread, some sweet malts too. Light bodied, sweet, yet bitter. Good beer, very cool since I’d never heard of these Japanese hops.

Apr 18, 2009 [1975-20090131] Cask. Spicy motor oil aroma has grassy hops too. Hazy, brown orange body with quick white bubbles. Grainy yeast flavour has a sweet potato aftertaste. Medium body has a nice graininess. A little flat but otherwise average.

Feb 12, 2009 Cask at the Victory Café Winter Festival. Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a spare diminishing white head. Mild aroma of buttery toffee, apples and floral hops. Mild, slightly watery flavour of buttery toffee, quite fruity, mint tea and some floral hops. Average bodied. It’s fine but it’s just not my thing.

Feb 10, 2009 Cask. At Victory Cafe Cask Ale Festival, January 2009. Hazy pale gold, with pretty much no head. Dusty-dry sweet aroma of apple skins and dry floral bitterness. The taste was quite light, refreshing and generally pleasing, but more like a floral apple jack than a beer - the hoppiness really is more noticeable in the aftertaste than up front. Light and crisp, cask-still, slightly floral/astringent and a dry finish, increasingly dry/acidic as I worked through my glass. Odd, enjoyable - I suspect this would be well-paired with lightly spicy food.
