Malt, hops aroma, dark amber, small white head. Taste is soft malt, smidge of hops, light bodied, sweet. Fair.

[713-20070928] Tap @ C’est What 2007 FOSB (Toronto, ON). Lemon tea aroma. Clear, brown amber body with a small medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Light fruity flavour background, mostly like spiked iced tea with a slice of lemon. Medium body. Interesting British qualities.

I had this at the same time as everyone else. Nut brown (indeed), thin profile, caramelly, tastes insanely similar to flat Dr. Pepper or boxed generic fruit punch. Weird, but tasty and refreshing. However, not their best showing.

Draught sample at C’est What’s 2007 Fall Festival of Craft Breweries. Light amber with a small head. Well-balanced aroma of malt and citrus, with a bit of nuttiness. Soft body. Nice flavour - caramel malt, a but nutty, followed by some solid grapefruit and lemon hop notes. A good beer, even though I have no idea what a "Shonet Nut" is.

Draught. Darkish orange with a medium creamy white head. Rye bread aroma including orangey sweetness. Really soapy and candyish orange in the background - perfumey and kind of strange. Sharp Breadyness lingers.

Draught. At C’est What Beer thing September 2007. Clear light amber with an average white head. Dry, wheaty aroma with nutty light roast malt. Dry, wheaty taste, the malt character reminded me of toasted pine nuts. Average body and mouthfeel, with a light bitter linger. I thought this was pretty solid stuff.

Draught at ’C’est What? Festival of Small Breweries’. Pours a clear dark orange with a small diminishing white head. Aroma’s sweet and fruity along with light spices, mild hops and weirdly enough, Tahiti Treat. Odd! Flavour’s like a spicy, fruity Pale Ale with some (again!) Tahiti Treat thrown in for good measure but somehow it works. Medium bodied. Well, this is different that’s for sure -- I like it.
