Pours a clear golden yellow with big, frothy white head. Good retention, generous lacing.
Aroma of malt and hops, no fruit. Medium-bodied bockbeer with rather thin, watery mouth feel. Medium carbonation.
Taste at first is overly sweet, yeasty, with strong alcoholic overtones. If there is any fruit to be found, it might be peach. Moderately bitter, dry finish and lingering alcoholic after taste.
Like many bocks, the Neuzeller is a little too sweet for comfort, and not as heavy nor fulfilling as one would expect. Mediocre strong beer. fonefan (11891), VestJylland, Denmark

The aroma has notes of malt, flower and caramel, but it is mild, almost weak. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, flower and light caramel. Sadly the overall impression is too sweet and too weak/thin. Stefano (1344), Esbjerg, Denmark
