50cl dark brown bottle, label slightly different from the one pictured. Pours a clear golden yellow with big, frothy white head. Good retention, generous lacing. Aroma of malt and hops, no fruit. Medium-bodied bockbeer with rather thin, watery mouth feel. Medium carbonation. Taste at first is overly sweet, yeasty, with strong alcoholic overtones. If there is any fruit to be found, it might be peach. Moderately bitter, dry finish and lingering alcoholic after taste. Like many bocks, the Neuzeller is a little too sweet for comfort, and not as heavy nor fulfilling as one would expect. Mediocre strong beer.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, toasted, sugar, overripped apple notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to modrate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090629]

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lasting, off-white and creay head. Grassy and roasted malt aroma. Flavour is mainly grassy hoppy than roasted malt driven. Light metallic touch and a distinct bitterness leading into a dry and mild sweet malt flavoured finish.

It is warm golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, flower and caramel, but it is mild, almost weak. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, flower and light caramel. Sadly the overall impression is too sweet and too weak/thin.

Dark golden colour witn a small unstable white head. Aroma of malts, fruits and hops. The flavor is sweet malty and with strong notes of caramel. Lots of alcohol sweetness in aftertaste.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - hazy amber-orange colour with a little foam, composed of big bubbles, aroma of caramel and oranges, good malt body, some sweetness and a late moderate bitterness, long aftertaste of caramel, alcohol and oranges
