Powerful aroma of malts a bit of yeasty fruit. The taste is quite full wit a big part of sweetness to begin with including a great dela of fruitiness. Then gains some bitterness and then turns back to a malty sweetness. MiP (9088), Sønderborg, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 10, 2006 A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and alcohol, while the flavor is sweet malty with some notes of metal - my guess is that it is from the alcohol. A boring Bock. And yet, with it’s beautiful slightly hazy amber color, I guess it’s somewhere between a dark "Doppelbock" and a pale "Bock". The head is tall and hard to control. Pale bocks are sometimes very alcoholic in the flavor, bordering on unpleasant. But definitely not this one. Very harmonious beer, where the fullness doesn’t turn to extreme sweetness or alcohol. A fresh flavor of grains and fruit. Definitely a good one. 091203
