An amber beer with a nice tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel. The flavor is very sweet malty with notes of caramel, fruit, and straw, the fruits being peaches and oranges. The end is nicely bitter to balance the sweetness. I find the body a bit thin inspite of the 6.3% ABV.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark golden, almost amber, clear beer with a creamy head. Very strong and sweet beer which feels somewhat alcoholic and not that refined. The style is like a pale bock, same style as Carlsberg’s Elefant-beer but more full and sweet. 291103

Slightly hazy, light amber body with medium off-white froth. Aroma is mildly sweet and grassy. Taste is pretty sweet, honey and caramel, malty, very bock-ish. Ever so slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Definitely an improvement over the Black Abbot, but still nothing you'd want to seek out.
