Sweet, cherry, fruity sourness, light bitter, hint of cherry pits, medium body. No Reinheitsgebot, not lambic, but less artificial then expected. Very good drinkable. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 18, 2006 Bottled, mine lists 4.8% abv. Deep read pour with an almost non-existant pink head. Smells of sour cherries. Sharp taste! More cherries, but unlike some of the extremely artificial krieks and fruit beers I’ve had, this actually retains its identity as a beer. Addition of elderberry juice is a nice touch. Dry finish. Still too sweet for me, but not bad on the whole. Would like to see more of this style in Germany. turbothy (725), Bonn, Germany

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 15, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Lovely, deep red colour - slightly hazy - with a pinkish head. Pronouced, sweetish cherry aroma. Also the flavours are full of cherries on a rather dry background but no real bitterness. Weirdly the label claims this is based on a Bock beer, but you don’t really get the fullness or the body of this beer. Also elderberry juice is added. But all in all a fairly decent fruit beer. The only German of it’s style? 150705
