This beer is definitely underrated. So sexy and satisfying on a hot summer’s day in Germany. I was on a train headed toward Berlin when I drank this yummy brew. Refreshing. Lovely, especially thorough cherry taste (because they use 50 cherries in a bottle, right?). Appreciate this, people - cherries take a minimum of 5 years on a tree. Under-rated!

Pours cherry red with pink head. Nice aroma of Sauerkirsch. Sweet but not cloying, has a nice sourness to it. I like fruit beer, and I like this a lot.

50cl bottle. Pours rubby with a nice pink cherry head that is thick and doesnt disappear very fast. Aroma was sweet and filled with cherries. Taste of cherry that did not seem to be as artificial as manyz other cherry beers. Some sweet malts and a nice hoppy finish. People who tasted it with me all agreed that it was similar to the St Louis cherry beer. Overall, I was very impressed.

Somehow I overlooked to put in my rating from July 2007, when I had a bottle in Berlin. Fortunately I found my notes, which remind me that this had a syrupy quality and a flavor like cherry syrup, too sweet at first but mellowing nicely. Bright red color was attractive. Bottle.

Mixtur of Bockbeer, cherryjuice, elderjuice and sugar. Beautiful rubinred color, pink head. Sour, fruity (cherry) aroma. Taste is sweet and a few sour, fruity. Sweet and dry aftertaste. Cherry taste is determining. Maybe a hint to sweet.

Deep red color with a towering, then collapsing pink head. Very grainy, grain silo like aroma. The flavors, however... very strong cherry. Not terribly sweet and offset by pairing up with the graininess. Unique and not bad at all.

clear and deep ruby-reddish colour, little slightly pinkish head; deep aroma of sour cherries; juicy, medium-bodied, sweet with a moderate sourness; quite dry finish with a long aftertaste of cheries and candi sugar - very interesting

Bottled. Aroma is cherry candy. Deep red color, pink head, good lace. Sweet, cherry, fruity sourness, light bitter, hint of cherry pits, medium body. No Reinheitsgebot, not lambic, but less artificial then expected. Very good drinkable.
