badgerben (3070), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Aug 9, 2008 Very deep red color with a medium head. Big roasted malt, chocolate aroma. A little grain silo flavor going on. Slightly roasted taste as well. Finishes a little bitter. yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 17, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours visible brown with a golden redish glare and a creamy and tan head. Roasted malt aroma and with dried fruit accents. Flavour is dry breadish malt - towards roasted. Quite clean and pleasing. Mild dried fruity note following. Goes into a nice finish with notes of fruit and more of the smooth roasted breadish malt flavours. Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Mar 30, 2008 pours a very dark brown colour with an elusive foam; aroma of caramel with strange vegetal notes; sweet and light-bodied with a solid carbonation; no bitterness and a short and quite watery caramelish aftertaste tnkw01 (107), USA Feb 29, 2008 OK, this is my first rating. I picked this beer because I absolutely love this beer. Unfortunately, it is not available in our area anymore. I pray they bring it back. Anyway, It pours a dark color. Almost black, but dark amber when held up to the light. It has a pleasant roasted malt taste with just the right amount of bitterness. Alas, poor Bath Beer. I will miss you. Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Dec 16, 2007 This black/brown elixir bade bier has a moderate head and an aroma with notes of malt and herbs. The flavour is a bit like their "Anti Aging Beer", less sweet perhaps, and strong notes of malt (wheat among others), and notes of berries and licorice. It’s a quite OK schwartzbier.
