Flavor = toffee rich malts with a coffee touch. Carbonation is medium while head low. Deep red-black and tanic. If you need a bath, evidently, this is the beer for you. Aroma of sour molasses malts. Light hops.

It took me awhile to guess the style but I finally remembered the word "Schwarzbier." Haven’t had any Schwarzbiers in awhile I guess. Deep red-brown body, thin/medium light cream head. Roasty and rather chocolatey aroma, also very bready. Tart body with chocolate, toast, burnt caramelized sugars, earthy bready tones, and leafy hops. Pretty complex overall and very smooth. Sometimes borders on being a bit too thin-bodied but the malt complexity always comes to the rescue.

Dark brown colour with a lighter tan head. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt and bittering characteristics. Medium-light bodied; Bitter coffee flavour with roasted malt showing through. Overall, nice-good to try! I sampled this beer on 15-May-2004 at the May RB Party in Toronto, Onatrio.

Very dark with a small head, aroma of coffee grounds, a little metallic and smoky. Thin mouthfeel, some chocolate, coffee and vanilla notes, sweet, a little scorched like charcoal. Drinkable, but it seemed a bit washed out.

Pours a nearly opaque black with a thin bubbly head. Sweet burnt malt aroma. Smoked malt taste with a sweetish finish. Light in body. Unimpressive

Tasty beer. Don’t know about following the directions and actually bathing in it, but definitely a decent beer.

Well as it says it’s pretty much black with a creamy/bubbly tan topping. Must have been a pretty dirty person leaving this bathwater behind. Fortunately the flavour is not at all of bath water - roasty malts and chocolate although it could be more robust. Enjoyable though - cheers Radek.

Bottle. Beatiful near black color with a glow of ruby brown when held in the light. No discernable head, a few bubble streams rising. Smells of smoky roasted malt with a little breadiness. Roasted malt flavor with a lingering sweetness to counter the bitter roasted flavor. Moderate carbonation and a thin, easy drinking body. Has a slight medicinal quality, maybe brought out with the alcohol. Flavor not unlike a thinner oatmeal stout. Not too smoky, thank God. Pretty tasty as I don’t like my dark beers overly dry and astringent.
