Thanks to Tim and Radek for this one. Dark chestnut body with a medium sized caramel coloured head. Smells like roasted chocolate and malt. Taste is roasty malt and coffee/chocolate mix. Interesting flavour. I could taste a little alcohol, but it wasn’t too noticable.

Dark brown w/ creamy brown head. Roasty aroma of coffee beans & nuts. Medium, carbonated feel. Roasted coffee & cream flavour w/ a hint of nuts & a light fruitiness.

Not as much of a mouthfull as it’s name unfortunately. Dark black body with a nice beige head. Bit of roasty smokiness, in a light-meidum body. Not bad per se but it was not pushing the right buttons for me today.

Excellent head on a black, almost opaque beer. Malty chocolate aroma. More of the same on the taste buds. Bitterness to balance the malt, but not to be prominent. Lager yeast make for a very smooth beer. Some roast that at times smokey or little burnt. Deceivingly light body for such a dark beer. You would expect the body of a stout, or at least a bock, yet it has the body of a pilsner (which is appropriate for the style). I drank mine, I didn’t put it in the tub.

Bottle. Poured a medium sized tan head that contained fine-small sized bubbles that fully dissipated. The body was uncarbonated and opaque with a dark brown hue. The aroma was malty, caramel, some chocolate and coffee notes. The flavor was sweet tasting and smooth. The mouthfeel was smooth but the body seemed to be on the thin side. The lacing was very sparse.

Black beeer with a nice reddish hue, with a light collapsing moka head. Chocolate vinous aroma with a touch of fresh air. Pleasant caramle malts, some nice little hops, some vanilla. Bodied is lighter than expected but the beer is thoroughly enjoyable. Sweetness is increased by camembert, which alos refreshes the beer even more. A big thanks to Maibockaddict, who recommend a slow sipping session, which i am doing right now, after a day of biking!!! Haaaaa.

This bottled brew poured a medium sized ghead of foamy finely sized light brown colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was opaque black with no visible carbonation. The aroma was full of dark malty notes and a mild licorice overtone. The palate was pretty smooth initially then gave way to a more tingly malty mild nite. The flavor contained notes of dark malts licorice and mild roasted coffee.
