Bottle. Very dark coloured with a fluffy head. Aroma is quit complex with notes of roasted malt, caramel, candies and maybe even hints of coffee with some smoke to mix it up. Some hoppy notes can also be observed. Medium to full bodied with a balanced bitter-sweet finish.

Black pour with a large head, decent lacing. Light tan head, blah retention. Aroma is fairly straightforward with notes of chocolate and caramel. Very flat mouthfeel with no bitterness. Overall I found this to be very boring.

Almost completely black, but lets in a ruby-red flicker of light. Dense creamy head. Aroma is peppery, roasted and with some caramel. Low to medium carbonated. Taste is filled with caramel and roasted tones. Some smoke is in there as well, and so is a touch of final bitterness.

Fizzy pour, black with a touch of red. Small brown head fades quickly. Roasty, toasty, chocolate aroma. Smooth, coffee and chocolate, some bitterness in the aftertaste. As it warms the bitterness fades and sweetness dominates. Honey, caramel, maybe even some fruity flavors.

Deep dark brown, almost opague. Roasted malt and anis in the aroma. Pours a huge head. Soft malty sweet flavor with anis and mint. Roasted malt. Looks a bit like a Belgian sweet stout, but I like this beer better.

Bottle. Poured dark brown with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate roasted toffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted sweet flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration.
