500 ml bottle. Black but lets reddish light through. Slightly roasted dark malt aroma with a distinct grainy aroma. Sweet wort flavours with a light grainy dry and roasted flavour. Hints of smoke and stout. Very different from other schwarzbiers, except for the dark colour.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a huge beige head. Roasted malts and molasses aroma. Extremely sweet caramel flavours with some roasted nutty notes. Drinkable if you like your beers sweet.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours deep chestnut brown with a big, creamy, beige hed. Fine duration and leaves nice lacings. Lightly tarty aroma, some roasted malts and sweetness. Light carbonation, fine mouthfeel, a bit thin perhaps. Flavour is very sugary sweet, light roasted, some nuts, but this is very sweet and almost like the Danish "nisse-øl".

Medium brownish beige head. Dark red barely translucent body. Sugary intensely caramelly straw aroma with roasted almond notes. Dryish-sweet caramelly malty roasted almonds taste with straw notes. Very sweet. Mild mouthfeel. Dryish roasted almonds and grain aftertaste. Nice. (0.5l bottle, Rewe, Dresden.)

Thanks 17thfloor! Pours black with a very small white foamy head. Aroma is very sweet, a lot lot lot like processed candy corn. Malty with a small bit of alcohol that is apparent even in a 3.9% ABV. Flavor starts and ends sugary sweet. Very caramely and overly sugary. Getting to be like candybeer. Too much residual sugar, this one needed more time in the fermenter. A tiny bit of smokiness in the finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Way too sweet with little else to offer.

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a dark brown. Sweet toasted malt aroma. Flavors of caramel and burnt malts.

0.5l bottle in Berlin. Aroma was strong of nuts and malt. Poured a thick black with no head. Palate was smooth, and quite similar to a cola. Taste was incredibly sweet and malty, with hints of nuts.

Pours a milky black with a small beige froth, pour lacing. Huge tobacco aroma, dirt, hay and light roast. First taste is super sweet, tastes like someone dumped an entire jar of sugar in a small cup of coffee. Some chocolate, but sooo much sugar. Lightly smokey. Its not a bad cup of coffee... just a lot of sugar. Smooth creamy, lightly syrupy body.
