Bottle. Poured black with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate roasted sweet aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Heavy honey sweet flavor with a heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Much more sweet than what I expected.

Poured a dark black color, typical of the style, but with a head that was very weak. The aroma was mostly of chocolate. Flavor was of chocolate and somewhat nutty like a nutbrown. Unfortunately, the flavor was way over the top and way too sweet (this coming from one who likes beers that are sweet). The mouthfeel, likewise was syruppy thick. A pretty bad beer, something that only has cooking potential. Heck, this might be something to mix into a dessert recipe, it’s so darned sweet.

Deep brown with a small tan head. The aroma has raisins, chocolate roast, and a touch of sweetness. If only the flavour had that "touch" of sweetness - this is ridiculously sweet! It’s pretty much undrinkable after a few sips. Sampled at the Københavnske Øldage 2006 on May 20, 2006.

Dark brown almost black, creamy tan head. Dusty, aromatic aroma, mineral, roasty, milky nose. Very sweet, sugary on thin body. One dimensional and so thin.

Deep dark lager with a thin light moka head, lifeless when poured. Aroma of cold coffee and prunes. In mouth, this tastes like of one of these sweet cold Japanese coffee cans, damned close to Pokari Sweet. Like a cold capuccino. I think it may be good in crushed ice or something. But a beer???The taste of paradise??? COME ON!!! Just plain horrid. Bottle was BB 14-07-04.

Bottled. Pitch pour with a violent brown head which quickly reduces to nothing. Coffee and sweet in the aroma. WAAAY too much sweetener - can’t taste anything else. There may be wonderful dark malts lurking underneath, but I’ll never know.

Ok this beer was not very good at all. Started nice with the pour but went downhill after that. Poured dark and smelled little smokie with some nice chocolate and coffee aroma. But now the beer went south.Tasted VERY sweet and when I say sweet like they poured suger in the bottle or thru some equal or something in there. No quality at all and I can say do not waste your money. Drain pourer

"Poured a nice dark black color, the head after the pour was huge, but settled down. Aroma was weak chocolate. Flavor was chocolate but overly sweet syrupy thick mouthfeel."
