Draft. Dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is predominantly toasted malts with a faint hint of floral hops. Taste is biscuity and chewy. Slight hop spiciness in the finish. Really not that bitter, but it was still enjoyable.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy off-white colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing and an uncarbonated transparent copper brown colored body. The aroma contained mild malt and hop notes. The mouth feel was mildly tingly and mellowed in the finish with a malt hop bite and a hoppy flavor.

Clear mahogany body topped by foamy beige head, nice lacing. Aroma is mild, earthy, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, earthy, some caramel, dusky, light anise. Light-medium body, creamy. Very drinkable -- 20 ounces went in a flash.

Draft at Rich O’s in New Albany, IN. Large ivory head, good lacing, uncarbonated, and an orange brown hue. Aroma was malty, caramel, sweet, and fruity (apples?). Sweet, bitter, malty, and hoppy flavor. Tingly palate.

For a beer with the word "bitter" in the name it wasn’t bad at all. A lot darker and more complex than I expected.

Sample at the brewpub. Fruity, cherry-apple dominated nose; wonderful, huge malty fruitiness throughout, berries and fresh grass and old musty books...big body, thick and juicy...this was actually my favorite of the seven samples I had, and one of the best bitters I’ve ever tasted. Awesome job, Mike!
