Fruity, cherry-apple dominated nose; wonderful, huge malty fruitiness throughout, berries and fresh grass and old musty books...big body, thick and juicy...this was actually my favorite of the seven samples I had, and one of the best bitters I’ve ever tasted. Awesome job, Mike! 502Flavors (622), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2002 Very cloudy appearance, practically transluscent bronze. Subtle aroma includes apple, yeast, very earthy malt with lots of caramel, and a hint of pumpkin. The palate is on the fizzy side, yet the creaminess counteracts before the damage is done. A mild bitterness also manages to penetrate. Chewy flavors of raisin and pineapple. The finish shows mostly nuts. A really fine stately made Bitter. shawnm213 (957), South Bend, Indiana, USA
