Quite Roasty and a little thin, I detect some coffee, molasses, decent porter, had me wanting more.

Opaque brown liquid with a foam that leaves behind average lacework. Insanely roasty aroma, with notes of leather, vanilla, grape jam, and underlying charcoal. Soft palate. Uninteresting salty and grainy flavors, which also show coffee and hop bitterness. Finishes with some hop presence in the belches. Surprisingly, I found this to be lacking in excitement, especially due to the fact that it won the FOSSILS homebrew competition.
