Poured almost black with a ruby tint and a tan head. Roasted aroma with chocolate and a balanced amount of bourbon. Roasted flavors that matches the aroma. Creamy with a light carbonation and a bitter finish. CaptainCougar (5441), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Pleasant aroma of rich bourbon and light roasted malt. Starts with a nice balanced sweetness and malty caramel with some dark chocolate. Finishes with a good bourbon character but no warming alcohol. A very nice bourbon stout. Thanks kp! MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2005 Black body with ruby around the edges. There’s a good creamy head on top that pits nicely. The bourbon and oak over the stout flavors blend nicely. Good roasty malt with a slightly bitter finish. wunderbier (1267), Tampere, Finland
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2005 Smoke, chocolate, coffee, bourbon, pine? Brown/black hue; tan, frothy, average sized head. Moderate to heavily sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter finish. Light alcohol. Medium-heavy body, oily texture, soft carbonation. The bottom line is: the bourbon flavor is a bit sharp, but Damn Good! LaMichael (4999), Colorado, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 26, 2004 The Bourbondaddy is a stout aged in a used bourbon barrel. I had this last year at about this time, and I remember liking it, but I don’t remember much else about it. This time around I actually paid attention to what I was drinking. It’s a little bitter at first, but after that it’s very good. Nothing extremely special, it tastes the way it should - a medium stout with a little bourbon flavor added.
